Tanner joined the Castlerock Veterinary Team in September 2026. He holds a bachelor's degree in biology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
After graduating in 2017, he moved to Maui, Hawaii, where his own dog's treatment for luxating patellas should him how important individualized rehabilitation care can be for an animal's comfort and quality of life. That experience inspired him to pursue a career as a veterinary technician, with a focus on rehabilitation and holistic medicine. He is passionate about helping pets recover, move well, and thrive through a whole-animal approach to care.
Tanner now lives in his hometown of Wausau, Wisconsin, with his wife, their daughter, and two dogs: a corgi and a miniature American Sheperd. In his free time, he enjoys staying active by playing hockey, skiing, and curling in the winter, as well as golfing, playing softball, and enjoying a day on the lake in the summer.
